IoT developers and network admins spend significant time tracking device IP addresses, especially on dynamic networks where addresses change. We built IPFetch.dev, a lightweight service that continuously discovers devices on a network, tracks their IP addresses, monitors connectivity, and provides a simple API to query device locations.
Network environments vary enormously — home networks, enterprise VLANs, cloud VPCs, and mixed environments. The discovery agent needed to be lightweight enough for Raspberry Pi, secure enough for enterprise networks, and smart enough to identify devices by type rather than just MAC address.
We built a lightweight discovery agent that runs on any Linux device and performs passive and active network scanning. Device fingerprinting identifies device types based on network behavior patterns. The central API aggregates data from all agents and provides real-time device location lookups. AI-powered anomaly detection identifies new or suspicious devices on the network.

Try the APII used to SSH into every device to find its IP. Now I just query IPFetch and it's there.
If it exists, AI can improve it. Let's build something great together.
