LinkToCalendar Integration Platform

Overview

Event no-shows are partly caused by people simply forgetting. We built LinkToCalendar.com, a platform that makes it trivially easy for businesses to add 'Add to Calendar' functionality to their emails, websites, and apps. A single API call generates calendar links for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, Yahoo, and ICS file download. The AI component optimizes reminder timing and generates event descriptions.

The Challenge

Every calendar platform has different URL schemes, file formats, and limitations. Timezone handling across platforms is notoriously buggy. The API needed to be dead simple for developers while handling all the edge cases underneath. Scalability was critical since each event could generate thousands of add-to-calendar requests.

Our Approach

We built a clean REST API that abstracts away calendar platform differences. Input an event with title, time, location, and description — get back links for every platform. The AI layer generates optimized event descriptions and suggests reminder configurations based on event type. Analytics tracking shows how many people actually add events to their calendars.
